About Kovalam Beach
The Kovalam beach also known as the ' paradise of the south', is lined with
palm trees, where you can enjoy a backwater cruise. This beautiful
countryside of Kerala has lovely country boats and lush greenery. At
Kovalam, the clear blue sky and the blue waters combine together to create
an everlasting impression of nature. Kovalam includes three adjacent
crescent beaches. The southernmost one is the Light House Beach which is
marked by an outstanding red-and-white striped lighthouse and is the most
popular of the three. The middle beach is called Hawah. Each morning this
beach serves as a base for the local fisherman. The northern most beach,
Samudra, is the most untouched by the changing times. A 15-minute walk
separates the two beaches.
