Wildlife Tour |
India's
wildlife is her most magnificent natural heritage. It has a virtually
unmatched diversity of forest wildlife. Of the over 400 parks and
sanctuaries which are declared as protected areas, very few are visited by
the tourists due to lack of infrastructure; location and climatic
conditions. There are many parks and sanctuaries of outstanding natural
beauty, with a fairly healthy population of wild animals and rare species of
birds, mammals. Wildlife watching in India is more of an adventure than fun.
At times, the sightseeing of endangered animals take days, while for lucky
ones, one visit to the Park provides a life time opportunity to witness
Tiger and rare endangered species at a close sighting. Unlike South Africa,
where the wildlife is at abundance, the game viewing in India could be an
exciting or disappointing experience.
Under
Project Tiger and with the support of World-Wide Fund, the population
growth of Tiger reached 4334 in 1989 from 1830 in 1972. The other endangered
species which are seen at these parks are - chital, sambar, nilgai, wild
bull, wild boar, leopard, chinkara, 12 horned antelope, wild elephants, wild
dog, barking dog, jackal, wild cat, Asiatic Lions(Sasangir only), dhol,
barking deer, langur and rhesus monkey, gharial and mugger crorodiles and
one horned rhino(only in Kaziranga). Besides there are rare species of avian
attractions found in most of the parks, the famous among them are | Renaissance Reizen (I) Pvt. Ltd.,
recognised by Govt. of India, Ministry of Tourism. Renaissance Reizen is a proud member of - Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Pacific Asia Travel Association(PATA) and TAAI (Travel Agents Association of India).
